Biography:

Edward Scissorhands is the titular character of the 1990 film *Edward Scissorhands*, portrayed by Johnny Depp. He is an artificial humanoid being created by an eccentric Inventor (Vincent Price).

Before his creator could complete him by replacing his scissor blade hands with human hands, the Inventor tragically died, leaving Edward alone and unfinished in the Inventor's mansion.

Discovered by Avon saleswoman Peg Boggs (Dianne Wiest), Edward is brought into her suburban home and community. He demonstrates remarkable talent in topiary and hairstyling due to his scissor hands, but his unique physiology also leads to misunderstandings and ultimately ostracization.
